Three degrees of separation from Peter Murphy (5/26/06)

Ok, so Bauhaus and Love and Rockets weren't big in England. But they
were from Northampton, Steve's home town. He used to hang out with
them at the Race Horse pub and had no idea they were so big here, as they
were just a hometown band there.

Today I spoke briefly to my stepson Kyle, and he told me he'd hung out
with his friend Jenny and her dad last night before her dad went out
on tour. Her dad is freakin' Daniel Ash, the still-beautiful guitarist for Bauhaus and Love and Rockets. I tried not to gush to the 14-year-old, but I asked him what he was
like, to which Kyle replied "normal."

Freakin' kids today.
