Unos, dos, tres, catorce

I am addicted to reading the comments on gawker.com. Commenters Ellagood, Lolcait and TedSez are my idols.

My darling co-conspirator has the same amount of adoration for the West Ham message board and its all-out flame wars. One of the threads today was on the topic of the Irish. We saw U23D at the IMAX recently, so Steve, hoping to better educate me on the longstanding rivalry, sent me a post that included:

"And for our American readers, prepare yourself for a shock: Ireland was not colonised by the British, it was an integral part of the United Kingdom, with fair representation at Westminster."

They may have been well represented at Westminster, but the all-American Beagle kicked the setters and wolfhounds to the curb.

Careful, if you get any sharper someone’ll offer you a newspaper column.

Yay for Uno, the official best dog in the world! We had a beagle named Suzy when I was very small. She went to live on a farm.

I was just about to write about my love for the Westminster Dog Show, but then I thought people would think I was a huge nerd. My mom showed dogs when she was in high school and we watched it together, either in person or over the phone every single year. (I was cheering for the Australian Shepherd and the Akita last night because that is what my dog is a mix of) I love you guys!

Also, if you do end up in Colorado, here is my email address. You may also use it to send me hilarious anecdotes at any time you wish. vollecc @ hotmail .com (without the spaces, obviously) Also, I grew up in Colorado Springs...you are much better hanging out in Denver and drinking beer with me :) We can play 80's Songburst while Mike and Steve watch soccer and do equations or whatever. that is my comment-novel for the evening.

Well, if you're a nerd, I'm a hypocrite. My mom and I love watching dog shows, though we're both cat people who believe dogs are outside animals. I am so e-mailing you, rock star blogger girl.
